IRTACTICAL TO BE FEATURED ON OUTDOOR CHANNEL IN NEW TV SHOW: ELITE TACTICAL UNIT
Whitewater, WI, July 10, 2012 β The Outdoor Channel, a cable network, has recently selected irTactical as a training equipment provider for a new show. The future program, Elite Tactical Unit, features a number of SWAT officers from around the United States competing in a variety tactical exercises. Officers are eliminated after each exercise if they finish with the lowest scores.
The exercises use irTactical equipment for the most part, allowing unrestricted use anywhere. There are a variety of events, including hostage rescue, terrorist takeovers, train bombs, drug deals, and more. The irTactical system will allow both good and bad guys to act as they would in real situations with no safety gear or training compromises. It also makes for very close and detailed filming.
The irTactical system consists of three main parts: the irM4 rifle modeled after an M16/M4, the irVest, and the StressX Shocking module, which electronically shocks an operator when they get shot. This system provides very realistic training with actual stress and elevated heart rates.
βThe partnership between irTactical and the Outdoor Channel will keep the show very exciting and showcase the irTactical system and its benefits on a national level,β explained Rick Jensen, President of irTactical.
Elite Tactical Unit features Mykel Hawke (Man, Woman, Wild and One Man Army) as the main host, guiding two team commanders through their challenges. The show starts with 16 operators (8 per team) and ends with one victor, declared on the final episode. The show is scheduled to be filmed in August and air on TV during the holiday season.
